Caulfield Race 2 #1 Mawallock $1.65/1.12

Jumpout - bet365 Terang Heat 12 (16.04.2024)

Jumped fairly but showed good early speed to take a forward spot in running. She elected to stay off the rail and upon straightening was guided to the middle of the track. She travelled well and looked to be under a good hold. Once she balanced up, in just a few strides she put paid to her rivals and broke away for a dominant win. Come race day, I am very excited to see the return of this special mare. She has a wonderful record with four wins from just the five starts and looks to be well above the grade she will be contesting. She gets in so well with Tayla Childs' claim and if she is anywhere near her best she will simply be too good for these. Backing her to win but will be waiting till race day for a better price.

Caulfield Race 5 #6 Philosopher $5/2

Jumpout - Cranbourne Heat 3 (22.04.2024)

Jumped best and settled on speed in a recent Cranbourne jumpout. In running he sat wide and faced the breeze but always looked to be travelling well. In the straight he was taken widest, just about to the outside rail and allowed to balance up and get into his work. He closed off very nicely under minimal riding, as he strode clear to win with a big gap to third. He returns on Saturday off an eight-week let-up. He was in career-best form before the break and looks to have returned just as well. In what is a pretty open 1000-metre contest, the son of Zoustar has drawn well and will find the front. He should prove hard to beat from there. Happy to back him at the each-way quote.

Caulfield Race 7 #5 El Soleado $5.50/2

Jumpout - Cranbourne Heat 3 (29.04.2024)

Jumped well and led in a recent Cranbourne jumpout. He sat wide in running but looked to do it comfortably. In the straight he was taken to the middle and allowed to let down. He showcased a lovely action as he effortlessly glided past his rivals to win with ease. It's important to note he was good through the line and continued to extend his margin on them. Come race day he is a very hard horse to knock because he has a great will to win and continues to exceed his expected ratings. That being said, it is a very deep race and you could make a case for most runners in the field. So, at this stage, I am more than happy to just sit back, watch and enjoy what should be a great race.
