State Opposition Leader, David Speirs has taken a firm position on access to Lake Eyre saying, "I don't like seeing mythology & superstition blended with science".

"I think that's exclusionary, and doesn't bring people together". 

"If it's the spiritual beliefs that are keeping people away", Speirs said to Sonya, Jules & David Bevan, "That does not cut it with me".
