The end of the second week of the 107th edition of the Giro d'Italia turns the focus to the time trial specialists on stage 14 on Saturday and to the climbers on a mountainous stage 15 on Sunday before the peloton takes a rest day on Monday. The race resumes on stage 16 in the mountains on Tuesday, the start of the third and final week at the Italian Grand Tour.

Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) leads the GC standings by 2:40 over Daniel Martínez (Bora-Hansgrohe) and 2:56 over Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers). Meanwhile, Ben O'Connor (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) sits just outside the podium positions at 3:39.
