The 60-minute maximum ramping rule that takes force today has been reduced to a goal rather than a mandatory rule after consultation.

Emily Shepherd from the Australian Nurses and Midwifery Federation (Tasmania branch) says without better end-of-life processes and addressing bed-block, nothing is likely to improve.
