The Government of Yukon, following the latest guidelines from the National Advisory Committee on Immunization and the Yukon's Chief Medical Officer of Health, is encouraging Yukoners at high risk of severe illness to get a COVID-19 booster this spring.

This includes:

  • Yukoners aged six months to 64 years with a chronic or immunocompromising condition;
  • residents in long-term care homes, even if they received their last COVID-19 shots less than six months ago; and
  • everyone aged 65 or older.

At this time, healthy Yukoners aged six months and older can receive a spring booster if they choose to, provided their last COVID-19 shot was at least six months ago.

Yukoners who have recently recovered from diagnosed COVID-19 are advised to wait six months after their recovery before receiving a vaccine.

Yukoners can book their appointment at yukon.ca/appointments or through their local health centre.
