We've got a new pairing for tonight's Game 7 between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. Kelly Sutherland, who handled Game 4, is back - this time with referee Eric Furlatt.

The Bruins have defeated the Maple Leafs in Game 7s in 2018 (7-4) & 2019 (5-1), with refs Wes McCauley and Kelly Sutherland in stripes for both. Sutherland returns for tonight's Game 7.

Sutherland was paired up with Pierre Lambert for Game 4 of this series (BOS W 3-1).  He's also worked WSH/NYR Game 1, CAR/NYI Game 3, BOS/TOR Game 4, and COL/WPG Game 5 — all with Lambert.

Furlatt refereed alongside Trevor Hanson at COL/WPG Game 1, NSH/VAN Game 2, CAR/NYI Game 4, and TBL/FLA Game 5.

* Penalty Differential represents the absolute value of the variance of penalty calls by team per game. If Team A takes two more penalties (or two fewer) than Team B, this is a 2.  Lower numbers indicate less variance between total penalties in a game - that is, a closer number of calls for both teams.
