A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Kitchener.

Wednesday around 6:20 p.m., police were called to the King Street East and Pandora Avenue North area, near King and Stirling to reports of a two-vehicle collision. One of those vehicles was a Kawasaki motorcycle.

The 25-year-old Waterloo man on the bike was flown by air ambulance to an out-of-region hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

The 27-year-old driver from Kitchener in the other vehicle, identified only as a Toyota, was not injured.

Police have since indicated that charges are anticipated.

The crash led to a closure just outside the downtown core for several hours Wednesday.

All roadways were reopened by Thursday morning.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash is asked to contact police.
