Pakistan will play a three-match T20I series against Ireland. However, the team has been hit by a visa issue, with star pacer Mohammad Amir failing to secure a permit to play in the country. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board is hopeful that Amir's visa will be issued soon.

The fast bowler will leave for Ireland on the first available flight after the visa process is completed.

Amir was banned from international cricket for five years by the ICC for his involvement in spot-fixing along with Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt.

Amir also served a jail sentence of six months in England. He returned in 2016 and played a crucial role in Pakistan's win in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, where the Men in Green defeated India in the final by 180 runs.

However, he announced retirement in 2020, blaming the team management for targeting him.

But he took back his retirement before the recent T20I series against New Zealand and was named in the squad.

Pakistan will also play four T20Is in England. After the series against the Jos Buttler-led team, Pakistan will leave for the United States to feature in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
