Tata Motors is working on several new cars for 2024. While it has already introduced the new facelifted versions of the Harrier and Safari SUVs, latest updates suggest that its Nexon range is also up to receive a new model in the form of Nexon CNG. The car has been spotted on tests several times in the recent past, and it was also displayed at the previous Auto Expo motor show last year. Nexon CNG launch date is expected to fall somewhere in the coming few months.

The 5-Star GNCAP rated Nexon is simply the best-selling sub-4 meter SUV in the Indian market which rivals against the likes of cars such as the Hyundai Venue and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. While the latter is already available in the CNG avatar, there aren't many CNG SUV options present in the market right now.

Tata Nexon CNG Launch Price: Expected

Currently Nexon is sold in different fuel types, and transmission options. It can be bought in petrol, diesel, and even with an electric powertrain, with transmission options ranging from 6-speed MT, 7-speed DCA, 6-speed AMT and 5-speed MT.

Currently its pricing (ICE) ranges from Rs 8.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and extends up to Rs 15.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The CNG trim is likely to be placed in the price bracket of Rs 9.50 Lakh to Rs 10.50 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Nexon CNG Features: Expected

The interior layout will remain consistent. It will also likely retain the features such as the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, touchscreen system, wireless smartphone charger, illuminated Tata logo on the two-spoke steering wheel, AC controls, ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a sunroof.

Tata Nexon CNG Mileage Figures: Expected

Under the hood, the Tata Nexon CNG will come featuring a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine with CNG. In the existing petrol avatar, the Nexon delivers 118 hp power and 170 Nm torque, however, the output from its CNG powertrain is expected to be slightly lower. It will also come forward featuring a twin-cylinder CNG tank.
