As Mumbai Indians (MI) locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday, there was a special guest who marked his presence at the Wankhede Stadium. Sitting patiently on his mother's lap, it was Jasprit Bumrah's son Angad who watched his father bowling the most-economic spell for the hosts.

Bumrah returned 1 for 23 in four overs. The right-arm quick provided MI with an opening breakthrough after the hosts decided to bowl first. Bumrah struck in the final over of the Powerplay to break the half-century stand between Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head for the opening wicket. The pacer bowled a length ball from around the wicket, Abhishek poked at it without moving his feet and edged it straight to the keeper.

Meanwhile, the camera panned towards the stands where Bumrah's wife, Sanjana Ganesan was seated with little Angad in her lap. The picture of the mother and son has now gone viral on social media.

Hardik Pandya struck form before the T20 World Cup while veteran Piyush Chawla also bagged three wickets as Mumbai Indians restricted SRH to a below-par 173/8. The MI skipper found form to return 31/3 in 4 overs while Chawla (4-0-33-3) produced an impactful performance to trouble the SRH batters.

However, SRH skipper Pat Cummins chipped in with a 17-ball 35 (2x4s, 2x6s) late in the innings to take them past the 150-run mark. In complete contrast to the last time these teams met earlier in this IPL when SRH hammered 277/3, their usually free-flowing batters struggled for momentum and lack of initiative meant they could never really trouble the Mumbai bowlers.

The powerplay had yielded 56 runs for the visitors without any damage but lack of initiative and regular fall of wickets stemmed the flow of runs.
