iQOO confirms its next product launch, iQOO Z9x coming to India on May 16

iQOO Z9x India launch has been confirmed for May 16. The announcement was made by iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya on X, the platform previously known as Twitter. Hardware-wise, the iQOO Z9x which is sold in China is same as the Vivo T3x which was launched in India in late April. It has a 6.72-inch 1080p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. Running the show is Android 14. For photography the phone has dual rear cameras headlined by a 50-megapixel main sensor paired to another 2-megapixel portrait sensor. The front camera is an 8-megapixel.

On Vivo's global website, the iQOO Z9x is listed in three memory configurations: 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. It comes in a choice of two colours: green and black.

Previously, iQOO launched the iQOO Z9 in the country. It has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can top 1,800 nits. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 paired with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS2.2 storage. Running the show is Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 with iQOO promising two major OS and up to three years of security updates. Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.

For photography, the iQOO Z9 has a dual camera setup on the rear headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS. It is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. It is paired to another 2-megapixel portrait camera. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies.

The iQOO Z9 comes in a choice of 8GB/128GB for Rs 19,999 and 8GB/256GB for Rs 21,999.
