Eleven-year-old Pune boy dies after cricket ball hit him in lower abdomen

In a tragic incident, an 11-year-old boy lost his life after being struck by a cricket ball in the Lohegaon area of Maharashtra's Pune last week. The victim, identified as Shambhu Kalidas Khandve, affectionately known as Shaurya, was enjoying a game of cricket with his friends during the ongoing summer holidays from school. However, what began as a joyful activity soon turned into a tragedy. While Shaurya was bowling, a forceful strike from the batter hit him in his private parts.

The blow inflicted immediate and severe damage, causing Shaurya to collapse in excruciating pain. His friends, shocked and alarmed by the turn of events, rushed to his aid, desperately trying to revive him. Despite their best efforts, Shaurya remained unconscious, prompting bystanders to intervene and rush him to a nearby hospital.

Despite the medical attention he received, Shaurya could not be saved, and he was declared dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
