Legendary South Africa cricketer Jony Rhodes was impressed by a ball boy, who showcased an exceptional fielding effort during the IPL 2024 fixture between Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders at Ekana Stadium on Sunday. The ball boy, named Atharw Gupta, hogged the limelight in the second innings when LSG were chasing a target of 236. Marcus Stoinis pulled off an uppercut off KKR pacer Vaibhav Arora in the third over. The ball comfortably cleared the boundary over the third-man region for a six. Atharw, who was positioned there, decided to give it a try.

The Lucknow Super Giants faced a batting collapse in the second innings to suffer a 98-run defeat in the home game against Kolkata Knight Riders. With Sunil Narine continuing his sublime form with the bat, Kolkata Knight Riders easily managed to breach the 200-run mark against the KL Rahul-led side.
