BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education declared the much-awaited results of the class 12 board examinations on Wednesday. Anshika Mishra from Rewa secured the top position in the Maths-Science stream with 493 out of 500 marks, while Muskan Dangi from Vidisha topped the Commerce stream with the same score.

Commenting about her success, Anshika Mishra said, "I am thrilled to secure the top position in the Maths-Science stream with 493 marks."

The Commerce stream topper Muskan from Vidisha also joyfully shared, "I am ecstatic to top in the Commerce stream."

The Madhya Pradesh board exams have experienced a higher pass percentage as compared to the previous year.

This year, the passing percentage stood at 64.49%, which is 9.21% more than the last year.

Jayant Yadav from Shajapur proudly stated, "I am honoured to emerge as the topper in the Art stream," while Sana Anjum Khan from Seoni was elated with her top spot in Biology.

A total of 132 students across six faculties have achieved the remarkable feat of making it to the state merit list, with Bhopal boasting the highest number of 13 students on the list and only one student from Indore.

The board exams took place from Feb 6 to March 5, with a total of 8,57,000 students appearing at 7,501 examination centres across the state. For students who did not pass the exams, a supplementary exam is scheduled to take place on June 8, 2024.

Over the past few years, girls have consistently outperformed boys in the board exams. In 2023, girls achieved more than 58% success, while boys had a pass percentage of only 52%. This year, over 68% of girls have passed, while the pass rate for boys is 60.55%.
