Upcoming Phones In May 2024: April departed as a busy month for smartphone launches with the arrival of the OnePlus Nord CE 4, Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Realme P1 series and more. May is all set to get even more exciting. Among the key highlights will arguably be the Pixel 8a which could debut at Google I/O 2024.

Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy F55 after official hints of a launch. Moreover, iQOO has confirmed today it will launch the iQOO Z9x 5G on May 16. For a detailed look, here are the five smartphone launches to expect this month.

Samsung Galaxy F55: Considering the South Korean smartphone maker has teased the Galaxy F55, we can expect an arrival this month. The mid-range smartphone could sit in the sub-Rs 30,000 price bracket. It is confirmed to get a vegan leather design on the rear.

Google Pixel 8a: Google could launch the latest 'A' series model at the Google I/O event on May 14. While the tech giant has not shared any official hints, the Pixel 8a may offer an OLED display, Tensor G3 chipset, 64MP OIS + 13MP rear and 13MP selfie shooter. It could launch in the sub-Rs 45,000 price slot in India.

Infinix GT 20 Pro: Considering the Chinese smartphone maker has started teasing the phone, we can expect an India debut of the GT 20 Pro this month. Apart from the GT 10 Pro's successor, the company could also launch a gaming-centric laptop and more accessories.

iQOO Z9x 5G: iQOO has confirmed that it will launch the iQOO Z9x 5G in India on May 16. It will be available for purchase on Amazon and iQOO's official channels. The handset will likely offer a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, a 6,000mAh battery with 44W charging, a 50MP primary camera and Android 14 OS. The phone could sit in the sub-Rs 15,000 price bracket in India.

OnePlus Nord 4 5G: The OnePlus Nord 3's successor is expected to launch in India in May. While the brand has not shared any official hints, the device may offer a flat OLED screen, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and a 5,500mAh battery. Besides the Nord 4, the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite is also expected to launch in the country soon.

Besides these, Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and POCO F6 may be the noteworthy smartphones that could see the light of the day this month. However, hints about their India launch remain scarce.
