(Photo: Instagram/sodhi_GCS) It has been over two weeks since the sudden and mysterious disappearance of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah alum Gurucharan Singh shook the Hindi television fraternity and his family, but there is no sign of the actor's return. Amid speculations of him orchestrating his own disappearance, his father, Hargit Singh, recently shared his distress concerning the two-week disappearance of his son. Speaking with the Times of India, Hargit described the family's emotional turmoil and their eagerness for updates from the authorities on Gurucharan's whereabouts. Hargit shared, "Our entire family is deeply troubled by this shocking incident. We don't know how to cope and are anxiously waiting for some positive news from the police. All we can do is hope for his safe return." Days before Gurucharan's disappearance, he had posted a heartfelt photo on Instagram, wishing his father a happy birthday. Hargit reminisced about the intimate family gathering, noting, "Though there were no lavish celebrations, being together at home brought us joy. The next day, he was scheduled to travel back to Mumbai." As per a report published in News18, a Delhi Police source commented, "Gurucharan's phone was found in the Palam area, complicating our efforts to trace his whereabouts. CCTV footage reveals he switched e-rickshaws multiple times, indicating a planned exit from Delhi." Reportedly visiting his family in Delhi, Gurucharan was due to return to Mumbai but has been missing since April 22. The actor's family has filed a complaint, prompting the authorities to launch an investigation. "Our dedicated team is exploring all leads, and the technical team is actively working on the case. We are reviewing CCTV footage and have observed Gurucharan walking alone," DCP South West Delhi, Rohit Meena, told ANI. Gurucharan Singh, who was last seen on the TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Roshan Singh Sodhi, had quit the series owing to his father's declining health.
