Death in Paradise star Ralf Little has fuelled concern for his relationship after his fiancé Lindsey Ferrentino was spotted without an engagement ring on.

The pair have seemingly been growing apart in recent months with them having spent some time apart from each other and failing to mention one another on their respective social media accounts. Lindsey also shared a worrying post to her social media followers in September after having turned 35, revealing that she is "further along than I thought I'd be in some areas. Further beyond than others" hinting at the possibility her relationship with the BBC actor had come to an end.

Ralf and Lindsey got engaged back in 2018 but put off walking down the aisle due to COVID restrictions and their busy work schedules. TV star Ralph, 44, was busy filming for Death in Paradise for the past five years and had split his time between the UK, the US, and Guadeloupe, which is where the BBC show is set.

However, now, Ralf has made plans to return to the US after quitting his role to spend time with the New York-based playwright, whom he met when he was cast in a production of her play Ugly Lies the Bone in London in 2017, according to a report.

While it appears he prefers to keep his private life out of the spotlight, the actor previously paid a sweet tribute to Lindsey in an interview with The Mirror in 2020. Speaking on his admiration for her and giving an update on their relationship, he said: "She's doing annoyingly well. If we were ever going to be a power couple I'd have to seriously up my game." He added: "Her career is exploding in a way that makes me both incredibly proud, and obscenely jealous. She's my best friend. This is the real thing for me. We have the longest of long-distance relationships, she lives in the States. It's like I have two lives."

Ralf proposed to Lindsey whilst they were away together at a country house back in 2018. The TV star revealed that Lindsey had not been expecting it and that it came as a huge "surprise" to her: "It was very romantic. We were in a country house, it was a big surprise. To her, I mean, I planned it in advance."

Luckily for Ralf, he wasn't forced to splash the cash on a diamond as it had been Lindsey who had insisted he propose to her with a ring that belonged to her grandma. He said: "I had a total result with the ring, though. She said to me if she ever got engaged there's only one ring for her - her grandma's." Ralf added: "It's absolutely beautiful. And free."

The Mirror has reached out to Ralf's representatives for comment.
