Ralf Little, the star of Death in Paradise may have split from his fiancee Lindsey Ferrentino, as rumours about a breakup swirl.

Ralf, 44, has been engaged to American playwright and screenwriter Lindsey Ferrentino, 36, since 2018 but clues on social media may be pointing towards a potential breakdown in their relationship.

The couple has unfollowed each other on Instagram and Lindsey's social media account shows that she is no longer wearing an engagement ring.

Ralf and Lindsey have lived apart for some time, with Lindsey based in New York and Ralf splitting his time between the UK and Guadalupe where the show he led for four years was filmed.

However, after his emotional exit from the show, it was thought that the actor would head to the US to spend time with his soon-to-be-wife.

Despite both being very active on social media and posting each other a lot in the past, the couple hasn't referenced one another online since the summer of last year.

Ralf and Lindsey have been together for nine years after they met in 2015 when he worked on her stage play Ugly Lies The Bone.

The play ran in London and coincidentally starred Kris Marshall, Ralf's Death in Paradise predecessor.

The pair began dating soon after the play, with Ralf relocating to New York to be close to her.

Speaking about their first meeting to The Mirror in 2020 the actor said: 'She's called Lindsey Ferrentino, she's 31, and an American playwright and screenwriter.

'I met her when I was in a play she wrote with Kris Marshall. She came out to Guadeloupe for a month while I was filming and she wrote three films out there.'

He praised her successful career in the same interview: 'She's doing annoyingly well. If we were ever going to be a power couple I'd have to seriously up my game. Her career is exploding in a way that makes me both incredibly proud, and obscenely jealous.'

The playwright is best known for her plays on Broadway and the West End such as; The Flat Earth, The Year to Come, and Amy and the Orphans.

Just three years after meeting, the actor proposed with a sentimental engagement ring.

Ralf said: 'We got engaged the September before last. It was very romantic. We were in a country house, it was a big surprise.

'To her, I mean, I planned it in advance. I had a total result with the ring, though. She said to me if she ever got engaged there's only one ring for her - her grandma's, it's absolutely beautiful. And free. I was like, "Brilliant."'

The two delayed their marriage because of the pandemic, but still today are not married.

The actor previously called her 'the one' and that he would want children with her: 'It just felt right. She's my best friend. This is the real thing for me. I've never been engaged before.

Adding about the prospect of children Ralf commented: 'I'm the last of my friends to have kids - everyone is starting to think it's a bit weird. I love the idea of kids, but we have to work out when.'

Neither Ralf nor Lindsey have spoken about their current relationship status.
