David and Victoria Beckham jet off on holiday with Gordon and Tana Ramsay

Days after celebrating his 49th birthday, David Beckham treated himself and wife Victoria Beckham to a double date trip to Spain with Tana and Gordon Ramsay.

The former footballer was in good spirits when he was spotted this Saturday, May 4, shaking hands with airport staff with a box of expensive wine under his arm. David sported a brown button up jacket and a pair of matching trousers.

He was followed closely by an effortlessly chic Victoria, dressed in a black blazer and white capri pants, a look she completed with a pair of black sunglasses and kitten heels. Meanwhile, the famous chef, 57, and his wife Tana, 49, were right behind them, Gordon cutting a casual figure in a black jacket and aviator shades.

The long-time pals were all smiles as they headed into the airport and onto the tarmac for a trip to the region of Vallladolid in Spain to visit a winery. Last month, the Kitchen Nightmares star and his other half attended Posh's stylish 50th birthday bash at Oswald's private members club in Mayfair, organised to celebrate her 50th birthday.

Gordon's friendship with the Beckhams has lasted through the decades, stemming from when he catered their pre-World Cup party in 2006. The couples also bonded over being Brits in the United States after both families relocated to Los Angeles, California, which also led Victoria and Tana to grow a close friendship.

Having children of similar ages has also helped the pals' relationship blossom but Gordon gave his daughters a warning to never wander too closely to the Beckham boys. The chef shares daughters Megan, 25, Holly, 24, Tilly, 22, and sons Jack, 24, Oscar, 5, and Jesse, 6 months, with Tana.

"Three girls and a boy, and three boys and a girl - you'd be amazed at the synergy. We've promised that no one dates anybody, and so far", Gordon explained, "if Holly said: 'Yeah, Brooklyn and I…' it would be: 'No, Holly.'" Although he refuses to see their families joined in matrimony, Gordon was once keen to get into business with David in September 2013 - until the former England winger pulled out of his pal's London restaurant venture.

David eventually left Gordon to take charge of the business alone with one source claiming: "They may be best friends, but they are also very astute businessmen and both wanted different things. Becks was ready to make an investment and had visited the site. But they both talked long and hard and have decided not to work together on this occasion." But David didn't leave his friend when he was recovering from an injury in his Achilles heel.

Describing it as one of the "worst things" to happen to him, Gordon recalled to Men's Journal that David had been a source of support and, with years of experience in the sports field under his belt, he was able to advise him throughout his recovery.

"I ruptured my Achilles a few years back, and that injury was one of the worst things that's ever happened to me", he said, "Luckily, David Beckham gave me advice on the recovery. I admired the way he worked to get back to his old self, and I tried to bring that same kind of heart to my recovery."

He added: "I keep my mindset super positive and remember there's reward waiting on the other side of sacrifice. I have a three-second rule I live by: If a negative comes into my mind, I listen to it, process it, then get rid of it."
