The last time Kevin Spacey publicly addressed MeToo allegations against him, he was standing outside Southwark crown court, having just been acquitted of nine sexual offence charges.

As the verdict was delivered minutes before, he broke down in tears in the dock before holding his hand on his chest and mouthing "thank you" to jurors.

Now he has invited a jury of his peers in the court of public opinion to adjudicate on the allegations against him again.

In a 98-minute interview with the former GB News presenter Dan Wootton posted on X, the actor denied allegations of sexual harassment and assault that will be aired in a Channel 4 documentary on Monday. His interview carries the caption: "I will no longer be speechless".
