Clarkson's Farm returns in season three trailer from Prime Video

Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has admitted farming can be "brutal" following fans' reactions to the latest season of Clarkon's Farm. The third iteration of the Amazon Prime show sees the former BBC star embark upon a new journey into pig farming.

Jeremy, 64, took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, today to address the "tough to watch" scenes. He told his 7.9 million followers: "Thank you all for sending such kind words about Clarkson's Farm 3.

"I know it's tough to watch in places but that's farming sometimes: brutal," he added. Clarkson's Farm 3 follows the highs and lows of pig farming, as Jeremy and his team continue to mange a 1,000-acre farm in the Cotswolds named Diddly Squat.

The season has been released in two parts, with part two - episodes five to eight - set to premiere on Friday, May 10. Jeremy has previously opened up about his struggles when it came to taking on pig farming, describing it as one of his biggest challenges yet.

In the comments section, fans were anxious to hear more from the farm, as they waited to see how it would all work out. There was also some confusion over how many more series of the show were planned.

"I hope there's more than four episodes," one person commented. "I watched them all last night. I need to see how groovy armarni gets on with his peas n beans experiment too." (sic)

Jeremy replied: "4 more next week."

Another wrote: "Criminal that it's the final series. Best show on any platform!"

Jeremy responded: "It's not. We are filming season 4 right now."

Soon afterwards, Jeremy clarified to his fans: "It's probably a good idea to say that four more episodes of Clarkson's Farm3 are out next week. And I promise they're less harrowing."

Jeremy and his partner Lisa Hogan had to face their fair share of tragedy on the farm this time around, experiencing everything from crops failing to newborn piglets dying

The Who Wants to be a Millionaire presenter even had to make the difficult decision to put his pig Baroness down in one particularly devastating scene.

Clarkson's Farm 3 is available to stream now exclusively on Amazon Prime.
