WASHINGTON - Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-04) joined 14 House Democrats in calling on President Biden to take executive action at the Southern border. They urged the President to use all the tools at his disposal to better address security at the Southern border, stop the import of illicit fentanyl, and allow for orderly legal immigration.

"It is well past time for both parties to come together and agree on common sense, bipartisan immigration reforms," wrote the Members. "It has become clear that the current situation remains untenable, but with Republicans playing politics on border security, it is time for your Administration to act."

"The rising tide of dangerous drugs like fentanyl in our communities underscores how necessary it is to act, not just talk," added Congressman Horsford. "We have practical, bipartisan solutions ready and available; it's time to put these into action for the safety and well-being of our constituents."

Congressman Horsford recently joined in the launch of the Democrats for Border Security Task Force, which emphasizes the need for cross-party collaboration and moving beyond partisan rhetoric to address the national challenges of passing comprehensive border security reform and combatting the fentanyl crisis.
